So, I'm going to be running into town early next week to hunt for the last few parts I need to put an AW4 an NP242 in my Grand Cherokee.

I'm hoping American or Pasco Auto wrecking will have what I need but I figured asking here might not hurt.

Here's my shopping list:
Cherokee TCM and Trans Harness Plugs - From a 92-96 Cherokee

Cherokee Dust Shields / Engine bell housing spacer thingy - from any AW4 Jeep

Cherokee Shifter Bezel - I think any year Cherokee with AW4 will work

AW4 Dipstick and Tube - Any AW4 jeep

Cooler line stuff - I think OEM Cherokee lines will work, my trans has the fittings

Torque Convertor Bolts - Any AW4 Jeep

    Bellhousing Bolts

If I can get the old tranny out today, I'll have the dipstick tube for you. I'll let you know. I may have the plug too. You got a pic of that?

You pulling the AW4 out of the 2 door? What are you replacing it with?

Here's what the plugs look like on the transmission side, there are two of them:

And here's what the computer side looks like:

The transmission side plugs aren't a big deal, as I can just make something work with weather pack connectors, though it would be easier with them.

Hey Jim you get the transmission out? I'm gonna be in town sometime tomorrow, will you be around?

Well, I was able to collect most of what I need, as well as a few extra things that weren't on my list.

However, I still need:

Dust Shields
TCU Plug

I think I can get the dust shields from pasco auto wrecking, it could just take a while. They have quite a few of them still in the vehicles, but won't be taking them apart anytime soon. Might try the dealership tomorrow and see if they have repair plugs for sale.

Yup, the plug that goes into the TCU. I'm not really clear on exactly which years will work, probably 92-96 though earlier versions might also work. If you have one that'd be awesome.

Went back to pasco auto wrecking this evening and was able to find everything I needed. The swap should be all set to go.
