Differential Protection

Postby Livin4Today » Wed Dec 31, 2014 11:38 am

Diff Covers

Great opportunity for CHEAP diff protection. If you've been holding out for the right price, you need to look here, right now before the price goes back up. Currently 50% off many axles. I just grabbed two for Mandi...

Building a capable off roader is easy, building a street legal one that you can wheel and then drive daily is the challenge...

Great price! Some applications the cover will not clear the stock steering. (Hence, I just run a Warn lower skid on my front.) On Rubicons, some have an issue with the drain plug interfering with the locker. HTH

Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

I've had great luck with them on my JK 44's with ARBs. I'm hoping they'll do just as well on the XJ... And @ $65 You can't beat 'em. Heck, the little cheesy guards cost more than that!

Lee is right. On TJ's, clearance is very tight. In the rear with the gas tank skid when setting pinion angle with a DC shaft. And in the front with the track bar.
I've seen pics of people shaving their Solid diff covers in order to make them work.

I am not sure if XJ's would be the same since they share a lot of front end parts.

JK's are completely alien. :D

Cheesy was more because I'm starving than insulting (Since I believe Dave's used to be mine), just stating an obvious fact... If I gotta shave the solid I can do that, gonna be in there next week anyway...
