Figured I'd throw this one out early . . .

And for those of you wondering, Tar Baby was the Waggy's name. So, where the 401 goes, so does the name.

I thought I had this build figured already, till talking to OG tonight.
It was going to be a flattie tub/Postal floor boards (the flattie has 1/4" diamond 'boards now), Postal frame, F/R D44's, 401, 3spd, D20

Now I'm thinking about using the OldGreen-5 frame (stock V-8 chassis), 401, TH400, D300, 3/4 D44 Front, 14 bolt Rear, and undicided on the body.

Fill me in here.. what/who's rig was the Waggy?

Both setups would make a kick a$$ wheelin rig.... I like the idea of a V8 flattie. :lol:

Put the body from Sveta's Jeep on it, then round file all the discards, as well as the parts of them postals you don't use :blink: :mrgreen: That'll free up some room for something else :lol2

if the 401 was to be used with the green yj, the whole yj (body and frame) would be used!

The Green YJ is being held as a replacement for the White YJ when it no longer has the will to carry on . . . :lol:

So not quite ready to start that build yet.

I have nothing but the utmost respect for that jeep, just for lasting as long as it has! Ask Jim, I drive like an a$$! :D

But really, have you looked at the price of YJ's lately? What I would get out of it wouldn't replace it, from the stand point of a good donor body/frame. 'Cuz ya know none of the stock drivetrain would stay in it!

FWIW, the following items are NEVER to be associated with "flattie", "flatty", "phlatty", "Willys", "Willyz", or any other term referring to the CJ-2A/3A/3B and/or M38:

* V8
* 3/4 ton
* 14Bolt
* TH400

Lashings for such slander shall be divied out by me personally in appropriate quantities...
