Found a soft top!

Postby TJDave » Mon Aug 31, 2009 8:47 pm

Almost new kahki soft top with tinted windows, frame, and factory door surrounds. No scratches on any of the windows. All for $200 bones. 8)

Question...since my Jeep came from the factory as a hard top only, I do not have the brackets that hold the rear window bar next to tailgate. Also the brackets that attach to roll bar for holding frame on.

Does anyone know a good place to get those?? Did not see them in my Quadra-ripp catalog.

Thanx, Dave.

Dave I might have the bar and the brackets. I have them for the tonneau cover which is smaller than the soft top ones, but I think they will work. If not, you can get them from Jeepsareus.com. I’ll double check, but I am almost sure that I have a spare set. They’d be yours for the price of a beer (a good beer.)
I do not have the roll bar brackets.
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

Thanx Lee.

After more searching, I found the Jeeps are us website and orderered everything before turning in last night. (I have to work way too early this morning) Holy crap! They think highly of their little parts....costs more than half of what I paid for the whole top and surrounds.

If they are the same as what you have, I'll send the tailgate brackets back. I have the bar.

P.S. Specify what you recognise as a good beer. For me it is Bud & Clamato, or Crown & Coke.

Seen them on Jeepsareus.com

They sell every little part imaginable. Might as well buy a factory TJ 44 from while you're on there too!

New job starts Tues. After a few months of catching up from my current job, or lack of, I probably will. 8)

Oh no please don't do that... If you're going to do a 44 just do a cut down waggy axle, stronger housing to start with and for the money is a better axle...

Oh well, perfection is the enemy of good enough.

It's on. I think the khaki looks pretty good on the black mall crawler. :)

But I think I need some pointers from the more soft top savvy. It took me about an hour to get it all on properly after I mounted the new brackets.

It is quite a bit easier if it is warmer than 70 degrees when you put it on, but it must have still been that warm when you put it on today.
A couple more tries and you will be flying put it on.
