Well I figure it's about time I share my current project. Sorry no pictures yet.
A few months ago a bought a '94 Suzuki Sidekick for $300. It burt a little oil but I was planning on rebuilding the motor anyway.
So after I get home and start looking at what I have here's what I'm looking at. A 16-valve 1.6L 90+ HP motor, Yeah, BIG POWER!!!!
A 4-speed tranny that appears to be hydrolic F N R and electric 1234 so I should be able to start in any gear which makes me feel better about switch from manual to auto. Also it's got an electric torque converter.
The T-case can be modified (cut the front output) and turned into a doubler. So I should end up with 1.?:1, 4:1, and 7.44:1 ratios.
The motor, tranny, T-case are out. Waiting to hear back from machine shops.
I also found a brand new handheld CB.
I may use the seats for my street zuk.
I may use the AC compressor for an air compressor.
In the process I'm going to finally finish my bumpers so I have a front winching bumper and a rear tire swing.
Cherokee springs up front and possibly in the rear to stretch my wheelbase and give me a better ride.
um... That's it for now.
