1956 willys wagon

I have had this project rig sitting in my garage since june

some specs
56 wagon
83 swb Toyota frame
92 v6 Toyota rear axle 4.10's (probably welded)
78 gm dana 44 cut down 5.5 inches kit from jantz 4x4 JK 4.10's (carrier undecided)
4.3 tbi chevy
trans and tcase are up in the air until I come up with something probably t350 or t400 with whatever tcase 241 would be nice



this is essentially the same state its in but with dana 44 not Toyota axle
got the front body mounts roughed in and cut out the back 2 gotta weld them to the frame and make 2 or 4 more

oh this is a slow build as its my free time when nothin else is in the shop and money allows

doesn't look too different but I snapped this pic last night, getting my oxygen bottle filled in the next couple days to clear off the Toyota engine and body mounts next after I get the last couple mounts made and tacked in place ill drop the frame down from under the body and clean it up and fully welded

I love the old willy's rigs. Just one question. Why Toyota frame and axle?

I parted out the Toyota and originally was going to have toy cases and front axle too. Just west I have laying around.
