Taking the opportunity to avoid the crowds and run some trails when the masses were tied up with graduation festivities, Boyscout and I headed for the hills. The plan was to drop the tow rigs in Naches, and then utilize the recently re-opened Milk Creek Road (FS-1708) to head up in elevation from Hwy 410, and make a loop encompassing trails on both the Naches and Manastash side of the ridge. A quick rundown of the route:

WHEW!! If you're not familiar with the area, I highly recommend picking up a map and doing some research on this combination of trails before you take it on... It will wear you
out, but is well worth it. At any rate, enough blabbing, onto the pictures:
We ended the day back at Whistlin Jacks for ice cream, and made it back home just in time to watch the sun setting in the rearview mirror. Overall it was a pretty long day, but I'd do it again tomorrow if I had the chance
