Oct. TWIG Meeting Overview

Postby Grumpy » Wed Oct 06, 2010 9:31 am

The closed Rimrock trails will remain that way until Spring of 2011. The trail and bridge work is done but the USFS would like the trails to "harden" . So this will delay openings till spring. They built a total of 7 bridges. The draft for the Naches Ranger Dist. Travel Plan should be out after Jan 1st for public comment.
Also be prepared that there might not be any wheeling in the Naches Dist. Memorial weekend 2011.The Head Ranger is seriously considering this option due to the damage caused to the trails last Memorial .This is not set in stone though. When I get more info I will inform all of you. Also there will be a scoping letter put out for a project called Glass/Angel Creek. It's a logging op. that could potentially ruin the Glass Creek trail.(In the Nile) I have my eye on this and will keep everyone up to date.

No Naches on Memorial 2011. Not surprised...
