Handheld CB radios

Postby scumby » Wed Sep 24, 2014 7:09 am

does anyone have one or ever used one? not the large brick sized radios of yester year but something more modern.

the reason I ask and some of you may remember that on previous snowy mountain runs stace would venture out ahead of us on snow shoes. it would be nice if she were in contact with us in case we decide to turn around while she continues forward.

You might be happier with two of these. Better range than a CB, but will not work on CB channels; FM not AM. They can be programmed for family band also. A few of us are running them and Jose or I can program it for you to match ours.

And bonus, it has a built in flashlight. 8)

Also, I have two that I am willing to loan you.
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.
