DAY 4: I believe that I am gaining the trust of the natives. My plan continues to escape this 6th floor cell. My captors still hide their identities behind masks. The torture is subtle... coffee served cold, little people stabbing at me with tiny knives early in the morning (I think they are gathering my blood) and then audible saying "Whoops". Hell out of a thing to wake up too. But,hey, as much ice water as I can drink.

Good to see your sense of the absurd is still intact...

I think if we combine enough winch cable we can break you out.

You'll need clothes though, it'd scar the little people in the children's wing winching a Lee out of a 6th story building in a hospital gown.

Lee, your wit and sense of humor ALWAYS add a ray of light to my day. Hope you get well soon, but keep the funny coming regardless

If anyone wants to come help plan my escape they have removed me from isolation. I'm in #6612. I can travel as far as my O2 hose and I.V. let me go. Cell number is the best way to reach me. (You don't have wear masks for my safety or yours.)

DAY 5: Last night the natives had a 'Door Opening' ceremony and they proceeded into the room thru the large door they had originally wheeled me thru, but had since remained locked and unused. During this time they always entered from a small side door from an ante room. As part of the ceremony they removed their masks. Their features are strangely similar to ours. They have indicated that I can move about as I please, but I am still tethered by this small hose that feeds me the atmosphere I am used to.

They may have grown weary of my presence. More than one has ask when I will be 'Discharged.' Such a strange language .

Be very careful of this "discharge". Choose the chute that leads outside rather than the one labeled "incinerator".

Have you been able to tame any of the natives yet? I hope they've found sustenance to your liking.

DAY 6: I've decided to released myself on my own recognizance.
I'm trying to say is that I feel that the institution no longer has anything to offer me.

I might not have the best doctor. She says I have a fever and her prescription, "More cowbell."

Blood again today. Xrays and different specialist next week. Oxygen til mid March. Yep, not exactly cured.

Sorry to hear this Lee. So, blood! What exactly does this mean. I can think of several scenarios. Care to elaborate?

I'm on the repair Danny, it is just taking longer than normally patient Lee cares for.

The diagnosis, at least in part is atypical, bilateral pneumonia. Atypical means that a. They don't know what bug, etc. caused it. b. The infection of the lungs is (was) more wide spread than in normal pneumonia, in my case the upper right lung especially... odd place for nonTB pneumonia, they tell me.
Bilateral means it is in both lungs; I.e. double pneumonia.
On top of this, I am having a mild reaction to the antibiotics (Please someone convince my wife that it is a mild reaction, she worries a bit.)

Blood, just means they took blood again to check my white blood count. Xrays next week are for my pulmonary doc to prove I'm recovering (and so she doesn't have to stick a camera down my lungs.) And for now, I have O2 at home on a 50' hose and portable air to take when I go out.

In the end my biggest problem is I'm going stir crazy and I have a shop full of Jeep parts and tires that I can't install until I'm in better shape. Worse problems to have...

Thanks for the thought, but putting the shiny new parts on is more than half the fun of Jeep ownership (makes the future, dirty, stinking repairs almost fun.)
I'll get healthy then turn my own wrenches along with a little help from my friends.

Well, gee wize there sick boy. Sorry I asked now. Got way more than I bargained for there. I used to have a guy that worked for me that suffered from such an ailment, and quite often. It was not pretty either.

Sorry you're having to go through this...get well soon.

Double pneumonia is no fun, I feel for you. Had it once when I was younger, kept me down for about a month. On the bright side, I think you can use O2 to reseat a tire, so don't use it all.

Stir crazy is easy to fix, you just need a lazy hobby. I just started doing some leather work to make a few things for my muzzleloaders. It's surprisingly easy. You need some leather, a rusty ice pick, razor blade, needle and thread.

Leather work and IV drug abuse have interestingly similar requirements.
