Got the Bird refired, and it sits and idles just fine. However, I hooked the timing lite up, and there does seem to be some uneven pulses that I can't detect just listening. It's present on 5 of 6 wires. If I have to change wires on that miserable -----, I'm gonna be in really bad mood. Do you guys think it could be in the coil pack or DIS module? Wires and plugs have been it a while, but don't have maybe 5K on 'em! Can't find an OBD I reader as yet. Susan found an OBD II unit and an adapter to go with it, but not sure on acuracy of them critters...Tim, any notions?
Problem is, it runs fine at the moment, but next time it's lit, it could run like crap, then even out, or go the other way, too! Annoying, and I'd like to give Sveta her car back!!!

I know plug wires have been discussed, but I'm kind of dragging my feet. It's major surgery. Ask Jose. The pulses I see are odd. Goes fine a few RPM, then a quick blast of pulses real close together, the back to even pulses. I always thought that a bad wire would throw uneven pulses all the time, but this doesn't seem to be doing that. Only one wire isn't doing that, which is why I ask about the other parts. Any ideas would be great!

All these knotheads have is OBD II readers. Actron has one that you can get an OBD I adapter for, but that bit of info seems to confuse everyone at our alleged parts stores...May just break down and have Susan buy them from Amazon
