If you have one laying around, it'll take it from your hands.
Any brand is OK. Most important is that the phone is for an old AT&T. We still have an old AT&T plan, which has very cheep service price and is hard to give up. Or may if it is unlocked, it might work also.
My Nokia is giving up. Of course, there is Ebay, and I will buy one from there is I can not find a phone locally. If you want to recycle your old phone or sell it, send me email koles3@yahoo.com or PM.

I've had the same sim card for 3 or 4 years and in that time I have used go phones yes. But if I'm wrong walmart will take it back. We actually got the idea from the at&t store when peanut needed a phone and wasn't due for a discounted upgrade.
