vortec fuel psi

i need to know what psi a jeep 4.0 fuel pump runs at and if it can run a vortec 5.7? HELP :?: :idea:

So, this is just a hunch, but I'd say you best keep things matched. That 5.7 may want more pressure than the 4.0 did. Lurch or whoever can confirm if my guess is right...

Jeep 4.0 fuel pump runs ~45psi, and the Vortec fuel system requires ~90psi if memory serves... And I believe that if the Vortec injectors do net get adequate pressure, they won't fire at all.
Yep, I've wheeled one of those, too...

My source at chevy says it should be between 55 and 60.
