Since we're talking HID's ...

Postby Don » Mon Jan 24, 2011 10:47 pm

I picked up a set last week second hand through a buddy of Trash's. Not sure what brand but its full kit with hi/low bulbs, ballasts and relays the switch. Appears to be decent quality. Needless to say, I'm VERY happy 8)

Plug and play goodness. Too bad they weren't H4/9003's or I'd have bought them myself. Half price and little usage is a damned find deal. :D

Nice.

I'm a big fan of HID. I hate when people clutter their rigs with tons of lights.

HIDs are badass. I plan on some in my near future.

Very nice. And does this mean you now have a wire free to hook up your wipers?

I like mine so much I'm planning on adding another set to replace my factory fogs - discovered that one was smashed yesterday. Don't know how that happened.

It's actually not a system issue, it's an electrician issue ... When I rewired, I accidently used the wiper power wire to run something else, lol. But, it's not like CJ wipers/ arms are worth a damn anyway. I'll fix the wiring when I put it back together.

Me too...

...mine won't hardly idle with them all on. I imagine I'll limit myself to one more set, and maybe a utility light, oh, and maybe some rock lights. That's it. 8-)

They are sweet! I have standard clear lenses for these but I had a smaller set with yellow fog lenses that were awesome. The cover on them was cut to change it to a super sharp cutoff so they went right under the fog and didn't blind you at all. They make that same cover cut in clear too. With the uncut lenses I have you can focus the beam like a mag light which is a really handy feature. :D

I pretty much got them for free... They retail for about $400 a pair though. Cool lights but no freaking way would I pay that for them.
