Seriously. I have a few bucks for a 23 spline version that has a tight chain. . .

LMK. Dale, of course, is an obvious choice since I know he's got two.

 Uh oh.

I was going to take the shaft out of the cherokee case and stick it into mine as I know it's good. If mick can't get that other one I can go back to the old plan of chopping down my input shaft and give you the cherokee case.

Dale, I have a fantastic idea. . .why don't you swap out your input bearings and I'll take the leftover case? I can pick it up on Sunday morning and even throw you a little scratch for the effort?

Mick. . .did you get word on the one you had a line on? Sorry to be impatient, but, as you may know, I enjoy a little lunch time wheelin' now and again. Starting to get a little jittery. . .

I bought a craigslist transmission that came with a transfer case attached. I might be able to be talked out of the case. I don't know much about it though. 96 cherokee that had an engine fire.

Glad you found one - I've been looking at takedown instructions all day to see how hard they are to get apart. Looks like the whole thing has to be in pieces to remove the input shaft. Don't know if I could got it figured out by this weekend.

It's been awhile since I've had one apart but I think you can pull the input gear once the input retainer is removed from the rest of the case.
