1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee with ARB's $3000

Postby commando14 » Sat Apr 05, 2014 3:00 pm

Selling my '96 Grand Cherokee. Pretty nice shape, good body, clean interior. Leather seats, husky floor liners. Paint is starting to oxidize on the hood in spots. Windshield has bad rock chip and cracks. 4.0L runs good, 190k miles. NP242 transfer case. Tow package. Power windows, doors, seats. Has AC but the pump is not kicking on for some reason. The water pump went out a few years ago and I parked it. Last weekend I put in a new water pump and thermostat so it's good to go now.

D30/D35. Has 4.10's and ARB air lockers front and rear. The air lines for the lockers are currently not hooked up. I swapped the axles in from a wrecked Grand Cherokee but never wired in the air compressor. Comes with the ARB compressor and wiring/switches to hook everything up. The rear end has a slight rumble sound when going down the road, I'm not sure what it is.. I'm guessing a pinion bearing.

Will also come with the original D30/D35 set with 3.54 gears if desired, so it can be put back to stock. Also it's lifted a few inches with coil spring spacers, so easy to take those back out.

31" Yokohamo Geolander AT tires, I bought these new and they probably have less than 1k miles on them.

Has the typical cracked exhaust manifold so exhaust is noisy. It will come with a brand new exhaust manifold in the box, I bought it awhile back just never installed it.

David - I would be interested in that ARB pump and switches if there is any chance you'd want to separate...
Yep, I've wheeled one of those, too...

Toby, thanks for offer but not wanting to separate. I'm looking for a nice Cherokee to turn into a mild wheeler but if I can't sell the Grand I'll probably just buy a nice lift kit for it and use it.
