Best deal on a Car Hauler??
Got some cash saved up for a 16ft dual axle car hauler for hauling my Jeep around.
The best deal I've found so far is 2240.00 out the door at Ranch and Home. I'm just looking for a basic trailer with brakes and don't need anything too fancy.
Just wondering if I should be trying other dealers. I have lots of time off so I'm willing to drive a few hours for a better deal if there is one.
I would appreciate any input.

That doesn't sound too bad. B&B hitches on Jericho off Queensgate sells them, but I think they are spendy. Same with that horse trailer/utility trlr place on Columbia dr in old Kennewick. I know there is a place in the Centralia/Chehalis area that manufactures them, but I can't think of the name right now. Maybe get a deal on one that was under water for a while!!
That's the same model I'm looking at here in Tri-Cities. The one I said earlier came out to $1995 before tax, title, and license.
The one at Post Falls is cheaper by 200 bucks but would it be worth the drive? Maybe I can go to Ranch and Home and bring mention that ad and see if I can work them down a little.

Not a chance Id ever think of buying that.... And Id run some sketchy crap but thats a rip. 6 foot wide?? Worthless, motorhome axles are fine but the wheels are 14.5's which bring the suck. So a deal? No.
THis is a bit better for half the money. http://nw-wheelers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23710
In case you can't see it... Here's the text.
Rated for 5500# I believe. Electric brakes on both axles, but not wired to the plug, just the flat 4 wire currently. Has title. license tabs good through August. 2" ball. New tongue jack, bearings packed last fall. This is not a fancy or heavy duty hauler, but light vehicles should be OK or quads or dump runs or ??????
Used to be a travel trailer. I'd like to sell for $600, or interested in trade for 35" boggers. Bonney Lake area.

Just found out someone at work is selling a custom trailer he used for his race car. 16ft dual axle with a 3 foot dovetail for a total of 19 ft. Wide enough to fit his full size truck he said. Has brakes and he said its been taken care of. The price he's thinking of is 1800. I'm thinking of offering 1500 and I'll see what happens. It's going to go in the nickel next week.
Well went to look at the 1800 trailer. Turns out this was built in someones spare time. There are 6 lug chevy axles under it. It's 19ft with the 3 foot dovetail included. There was a lug broke off on one wheel. Not good. Looks to be 7 1/2 feet wide.
It really needs a paint job but the boards are brakes are good. The battery for the brakeaway control is dead. The lights all work though.
He's adamant about the 1800. I just think for towing around a newer Jeep that I don't want a trailer that's gonna be iffy with it on there.
I guess you get what you pay for. I'm gonna pass.
If anyone's interested its in Hermiston, OR and going in the nickel tomorrow I believe.
