Did you have to shorten your stock driveshaft to compensate for the larger d44?

If you decide to do this, I have a one of those Chevy drive shafts laying in my garage that needs to go. The double-cardan joint is fresh and the shaft is in great condition.
You are welcome to at least come and take some measurements off it to get some ideas.
